BDS course : introduction

BDS : Bachelor of Dental Surgery 

               May be u may get confused why "dentistry".The ans is simple because it is an "artistry".when the  hand in tune with mind there born a dentist💪💪. first of all I like to remind u it is neither an alternative to other medical courses nor very complicated science.Anyone with a free hand with a working mind can learn and experience this profession.
                         Than other medico courses it is not just muggup theories and replication in exams.But have different exercises which provide a chance to enhance ur skills. 

                    Any job feel light when the passion convert to profession as someone(not me😉) said before.If u r a student who like physics , science,arts,modeling u may like this course.But as in any profession,there are certain challenges also.Different from the other medical related courses dentistry involve many time consuming artistic preclinical exercises and clinical procedures which may test ur patience.Some day u may be dealing with plaster of Paris and another day u may be engaged with carving✍.Next day may be donate for wire bending in Ortho💪(a department ) and next day with Dental amalgam with mercury👲👲.
                   Along with them u will deals with usual Medical subjects like humen anatomy,biochemistry,...If u like to improve urself and to manage multi-tasks as a challenge,BDS is a good choice for u .If u join under KUHS (Kerala university of health and science),the course will take about 5.5 years, including 1 Year internship.First 2 years have preclinicals and from 3 rd year onwards u will deals with patients.After this u can practice on your on clinics or can go for MDS or change direction.Currently, dentist patient ratio is not favourable in Kerala as there is an oversupply of dentists.Starting a clinic is also capital intensive for a middle class person.Before joining college make sure you done your badic evaluation of this course.Chase your dream not any prefix and suffix.Hope u got an outline.All the best
